Bob Belcher is a 44 year old man (start of show, 46 in recent seasons), who runs the restaurant Bob's Burgers. He's married to Linda Belcher and has three kids, Tina, Gene and Louise. Bob is the main protagonist of the show. He is voiced by H. Jon Benjamin.
Bob is the most sensible member of the family, he's introverted and rational in contrast to Linda.
Bob struggles with deadlines, as he often misses due dates for paying rent. He also struggles with remembering dates, as shown in the episode Human Flesh when he forgets his and Linda's anniversary.
Bob tends to anthropomorphize objects, which he has done since he was a kid, due to his loneliness and constantly working at his father's restaurant. He once did this with a turkey in the episode An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal, which he name Lance.
Bob also had a fear of pigeons, but overcame it in the episode House Of 1000 Bounces.
Bob was born in 1967, his father is Big Bob but his mother is unnamed. His dad was an alchoholic and owned the restaurant Big Bob's Diner. Bob's mother died when Bob was still a kid.
As a kid, Bob spent most of his time working at his dad's restaurant, and would often make toys out of soap and spatulas, but his dad would rarely let him play with them. When he was 14, he tried making a special burger for customers when his father was out, but when his dad returned he got angry and threw it away. He worked there until 1994, when his dad changed the name of the restaurant to "Bob and Son's" as a gift to Bob. Bob refuses it though, and his dad kicks him out.
He met Linda in a bar when she accidently punched him with her engagement ring from her fiancé Hugo, which got stuck in Bob's mustache. Linda then dumped Hugo, and married Bob in September the 3rd, 1998. They then had their kids, Tina, Gene and Louise.
Bob's own restaurant is Bob's Burgers, the restraunt is almost a failure, barely making enough money to stay in business and making the Belchers not financially stable.
Despite the struggle with making money, the restaurants food is good quality and nice. The struggle with money is usually from his family ruining things (such as not working when they should be and annoying customers) and spending their little income on the family instead of things that will help the restaurant, an example being sending pony obsessed Tina to a horse camp instead of fixing the deep fryer.
Linda is Bob's wife, and they have a very good relationship. Bob is her voice of reason, but won't intervene or get involve in her crazy plans as he knows it's pointless, but will tell her that she's making a bad decision.
Bob and Linda are very competitive, and will often have competitions with each over.
Tina is Bob's eldest child, and he has a very good relationship with her. Tina is very supportive of Bob (more than her siblings). Bob is also very supportive of her, and accepts that she is very boy crazy, even if she makes him uncomfortable and her crush is his rival's son. In the episode Two for Tina, she tells him "Dad, if you believe you're beautiful, you will be. I did."
In the episode The Equestranauts, Tina is tricked into giving away a very rare Equestranauts figurine. Bob decides to get it back for her, and he watches every episode of the show and reads every comic. In the episode Sheesh! Cab, Bob?, Bob becomes a night taxi driver so he could afford to let Tina have a big birthday party.
Gene is Bob's second child and only son. Bob occaisonly finds Gene annoying, because of his megaphone, inappropriate jokes and keyboard.
The two struggle to bond over "father-son stuff" and their personalities often clash, like in the episode Beefsquatch. Despite this, the two have bonded over the movie series Banjo and the band Zentipede.
Louise is Bob's youngest child. She often starts rumours about the restaurant, which gets them into trouble. She even said that the restaurant makes their burgers from human flesh at a show and tell, which causes the health inspector to temporarily shut them down.
Despite all of this, Louise cares about Bob, and their close relationship can be seen in Hawk & Chick and in Spaghetti Western and Meatballs. She even plans on taking over the restaurant when her parents get older.
Big Bob is Bob's father. The two don't get along well, as Big Bob is very unsupportive and controlling of Bob. As a child, Bob wasn't allowed to play or be a kid and had to make toys out of soap, which he wasn't even allowed to keep.
Bob doesn't really like Linda's sister Gayle, as she does a lot of crazy things, such as hanging up paintings of animal anuses in the restaurant in the episode Art Crawl. Gayle also falls in love with Bob in the episode Dr. Yap, as he was high from meds and kissed her, thinking she was Linda
Bob dislikes Linda's mother Gloria, as he hates her voice and the noises she makes. He even goes so far to hide in the walls of the house to get away from her in the episode Crawl Space.
Teddy is a customer of Bob's Burgers. Whilst Bob finds him irritating at times, Bob does cares about him.
Jimmy Pesto is Bob's rival, as he often picks on him for having a not-very-successful restaurant.

He let Tina watch Night of the Living Dead when she was eight, and since then she suffers from nightmares
Bob has hemophobia, and passes out when he sees his blood
