Linda Belcher is a 44 year old (formerly 43) woman. She's married to Bob Belcher and is the mother of Tina, Gene and Louise. Linda is happy-go-lucky and fun, she enjoys singing and making jokes. She is voiced by John Roberts.

Personality

Linda is happy-go-lucky, enthusiastic, friendly and funny. She puts her enthusiasm into everything she does: teaching her kids synchronized swimming (even if it's just a way to get out of P.E.), Bread & Breakfast and dinner theatre. Linda is very extroverted and is very talkative.

Linda loves performing arts and music. One time she lied to Bob by saying that she was going to Pickles when she was going to see a pirate themed show at a dinner theatre (Dinner Theatre). In Nice-Capades she helps Tina, Gene and Louise with their scheme just because she could make costumes for them and see them sing. Linda will often start singing her own songs and she loves chanting.

Linda is incredibly supportive and lenient towards her family, she always tries to give them words of encouragement. She is like this with her sister Gayle, letting her hang up paintings of anuses in the restaurant (Art Crawl) and even getting Bob to have a fake affair with her to help her self-esteem (Dr. Yap).

Linda is a pushover, easily doing what others want. The kids often take advantage of this, like getting her to do their homework for them (Synchronized Swimming) and selling the espresso machine (The Unnatural).

Linda loves alcohol and has a bit of a drinking problem. She'll bring alcohol with her to loads of places, even if it's not allowed, such as a school dance (Two for Tina)

Life/Story

Linda is the daughter of Al and Gloria Genarro. Her younger sister is Gayle Genarro. Linda also loved music as a kid, when she was a teen she wanted to move to New York to become the next Madonna. As a child, Linda used to steal from stores, throw rocks at cars and would cheat at book reports.

When Linda was at a bar with her friend Ginger, she met Bob Belcher. She fall in love with Bob and broke up with her fiance Hugo, and then married Bob on the 3rd of September, 1998. They went on to have three kids, Tina, Gene and Louise.

Relationships

Bob Belcher

“So, if you want your ashes spread somewhere crazy or you want to be thrown into a volcano, that's what I want, too. I just want to be with you. Even if we're dead.” -Bob Belcher

Bob is Linda's husband, who she first met at a bar whilst still engaged to Hugo Harbercore. Linda knew Bob was the one on their second date (Something Old, Something New, Something Bob Caters for You) and his dream of opening up a restaurant (The Bob's Burgers Movie). Whilst they have very different personalities, they complement each other well, with Linda getting Bob to have more fun and Bob being Linda's voice of reason. He wil tell her if she's making a bad choice.

Bob and Linda are competitive, in the episode Eggs for Days, they each hide eggs around the house, and if the last remaining egg (from the kids trying to find them) was hidden by either parent they win.

They do get upset with each other though, Linda dislikes how Bob always forgets their anniversary (Human Flesh) and Linda doesn't like how Bob doesn't want to try anything new (Seaplane!).

They do struggle to communicate and express themselves to each other at times though, in My Fuzzy Valentine Linda wants to do more for Valentines day but never told Bob this. She has also arranged surprise parties for Bob, even though he hates them.

Tina Belcher

"You did embarrass me last night, and a lot right now, and I'm sure a lot more in the future, but I'm lucky I have a mom I'm close to, and I don't ever want that to change." -Tina Belcher

Tina is Linda's eldest daughter. Linda worries about Tina, she reads her diary to make sure she isn't on drugs (Sheesh! Cab, Bob?), but everyone in the family except Bob reads it. When Tina wanted to move to New York, Linda tried to get her to appreciate where they live, because she felt the same way when she was a teenager (Local She-ro).

Tina is often embarrassed of Linda, Linda has poured soap into a fountain to try to impress Tina, because she was worried that they were growing apart, but instead Tina was embarrassed (The Grand Mama-pest Hotel). Linda has helped Tina cheat on a book report for a book she didn't read, though Tina didn't want to cheat (L'il Hard Dad).

Linda is more supportive of Tina's odd interests than Bob. When Tina had a short lived interested in capoeira Linda supported her (Sexy Dance Fighting), whilst Bob didn't. Linda was also okay with Tina dressing as a boy to sneak into boys-only auditions (Just One of the Boyz 4 Now for Now).

Linda is fine with Tina's crushes, though she doesn't like Jimmy Jr. Linda hates how Jimmy Jr constantly breaks Tina's heart. In the episode V for Valen-detta, Linda tries to cheer Tina up after Jimmy Jr rejects her, but when Linda found out exactly what happened she wants revenge.

Gene Belcher

Gene is closer to Linda than his other siblings, he gets more kisses off Linda than Tina. They both have "Spa-turdays": spa days on saturday and they used to sneak off to Devendorf's bakery to get free samples before Linda was banned. In The Hurt Soccer, when Bob, Tina and Louise leave the restaurant Gene and Linda start their dream of having a piano bar called "Gene and Linda's Show Tunes and Mouth Foods". They both have a love for music and performance, in the episode All That Gene she tries to get her son a role in a play.

Tina and Louise get upset with Linda for giving them too much love, but Gene gets annoyed at her for not paying him enough attention. When Linda joins a women's business seminar, Gene tried to get her to quit because the seminar was on a saturday, when they had their spa days (Mommy Boy). Gene is very reliant on Linda, when she starts working at Fresh Feed he starts wearing her apron because it smell likes her (Lindapendent Woman) and even takes her sanitary towels to school. Despite this, Gene can get mad at Linda. When Gene became a cheerleader, he became annoyed with how much Linda was getting involved in it (Gene It On).

Linda supports Gene, no matter what. In the episode The Unnatural, Linda sells the espresso machine so she can send Gene to a baseball camp, even though it's an obvious scam. She encouraged Gene when he decided to dress up as Bob (Broadcast Wagstaff School News).

Louise Belcher

Louise and Lind abond over their interests, like going to the pet store to see the puppies
