Tina Ruth Belcher is the eldest child of the Belcher family, being 13 years old. She is a hopeless romantic and has poor social skills. She loves horses, boys, zombies and writing fanfiction. She's voiced by Dan Mintz.

Personality

Tina is a hormonal socially awkward teen. She writes erotic fanfiction about films and also erotic friend fiction, stories about people she knows in real life. She has a big crush on Jimmy Pesto Jr, though she easily develops crushes on any boy she thinks is cute.

Whilst Tina's interest in relationships is usually age-appropriate, sometimes it gets out of hand, like when she fell in love with a goose (Every Which Way but Goose), a "ghost" named Jeff that stays in a shoebox (Tina and the Real Ghost), a voice on a Spanish learning tape (Y Tu Tina También) and a drawing of a fox in a magazine (Steal Magazine-olias). Tina being boy-crazy often gets her into bad situations, but her family intervenes before it gets too out of hand.

Tina has bad social skills, like prolonged groaning, not understanding insults, hiding under tables and taking things very literally. Tina often groans when she is nervous.

Tina is interested in a few things, but is very passionate about them, like boys, butts, horses (including The Equestranauts), zombies, Boyz4Now and fanfiction. Despite having limited interests, she tries new things, like trying out for the cheerleading team or trying to be in the school news team, though she is usually not succesful in these things.

Tina has a good moral compass, she has a very strong sense of right and wrong. She believes in following the rules and doesn't like lying. In the episode Tinarannosaurus Wrecks, she crashes the car and helps Bob lie to an insurance company. Tina ends up feeling really bad, and convinces Bob to tell the truth. Tina also tries to get her siblings to do the right thing, especially Louise.

Despite her sense of right and wrong, Tina has a tendency to get drunk with power and be very selfish. She will sometimes prioritizes what she wants over everyone else's feelings. Though, at heart she is a good person and ends up realising her bad behaviour.

Tina has decent self esteem, as she thinks she's a "smart, strong, sensual woman" Tina does occaisonly give into peer presure though, as she shaves her legs for the wrong reasons in the episode Mother Daughter Laser Razor, though Bob talks to her about self-confidence afterwards.

Tina struggles with maths and Spanish, but is a good student and a hallway monitor. Tina likes writing, as she writes fanfiction. Louise says that Tina is "better on the page".

Story/Life

Tina is the eldest child of the family. She's never had good vision, and wore glasses as a baby. When Tina was eight Bob let her watch Night Of The Living Dead, and ever since Tina has had nightmares. Bob used to let Tina ride a carousel with horses.

Relationships

Bob Belcher

Tina gets her introverted personality from her dad. Bob thinks that Tina is awkward, but he supports or at least tolerates her quirks. Bob has sent Tina to horse camp instead of fixing the fryer (The Horse Rider-er) and pretended to be an Equesticle to get her horse figure back (The Equestranauts).

They're close, and will talk to each over about their problems. Bob likes to spend time with her, as he wanted her to see the film Vampire Disco Death Dance with her and likes cooking with her, as she's the only kid allowed to flip burgers. Bob doesn't really like the fact that Tina is growing up, an example is how in Turkey in a Can Bob started dreaming about when he potty trained Tina after Tina started doing "mature" things so she could sit at the grown ups table.

Bob often gives Tina advice on things, like in the episode Mother Daughter Laser Razor.

Linda Belcher

"I just wish you could see what I see. Then you'd know how great and cool and interesting you are." -Linda Belcher

Linda is a very enthusiastic and supportive parent to Tina, like she is with her siblings as well. Linda is scared of Tina growing up, like in The Grand Mama-pest Hotel. In the episode she desperately tried to be cool because she thought Tina was growing away from her. Linda has said that she reads Tina's diary to make sure she's not on drugs, but Gene and Louise also read it (Sheesh! Cab, Bob?).

Despite sometimes finding Linda embarrassing, Tina loves her. The two like going to fancy hotels to use the bathroom (Eat, Spray, Linda). Tina will also seek advice from Linda, but it usually isn't as helpful as Bob's.

Linda is more supportive of Tina's crushes than Bob, as she supported Tina dressing up as a boy to sneak into a boys-only-covention more than Bob (Just One of the Boyz 4 Now for Now), though Linda doesn't like Jimmy Jr. In V for Valentine-detta, when Jimmy Jr breaks Tina's heart, Linda gets Tina to go on a girls night out with her and Louise. When Linda found out what Jimmy Jr did to her she took revenge on him.

Linda supports Tina's quirks and hobbies, more than her dad, and she was the one who convinced Bob to disguise himself as an Equesticle to get her toy back (The Equestranauts). She also supported Tina's short lived interest in capoeira, whilst Bob didn't want her going (Sexy Dance Fighting).

Gene Belcher

Tina gets along well with her brother, and she hangs out with him and Louise a lot. Gene usually talks to Louise more than Tina, but if Louise is busy Gene will talk to Tina. Gene gets bored of Tina though, like in Weekend at Mort's where Tina is babysitting him and Louise.

When Louise is manipulating or tricking Tina, Gene is on Louise's side. In Bad Tina he hid with Louise in Tina's closet to catch her bringing boys over when she wasn't meant to and found out she got a temporary tattoo and use the two things to blackmail her.

Gene is also manipulated though, In Slumber Party they're both used as human shields by Louise and Jessica. They sometimes team together to stop Louise's schemes, like in Ambergris.

Gene is supportive of Tina, in Hamburger Dinner Theater he helps her overcome her stage fright.

Louise Belcher

“Yeah! Messing with Tina is a privilege, not a right!” -Louise Belcher

Even though Tina is four years older than Louise, she hangs out with her and Gene a lot.

Tina tries to share her interests with Louise, like Boyz4Now. In the episode Boyz 4 Now, the two go to a Boyz4Now concert, and Louise ends up having a crush on Boo Boo. Tina tries to help her with her crush.

Louise often tries to manipulate Tina, and is often succesful. Louise sometimes does this to hang out with her sister though, like in Tina Tailor Soldier Spy.

Tina is Louise's voice of reason, and tries to convince her sister to do the right thing. Tina also went to Louise's poetry reading when Bob and Linda couldn't in The Plight Before Christmas, and gave Louise the courage to read her sincere poetry.

Tammy Larsen

Tammy is Tina's worst enemy. In Bad Tina, Tina gives Tammy a tour around the school and Tammy gets her into trouble. In the smae episode, Tammy also pretends to be Tina's friend and exploits her, by saying that she'll let Jimmy Jr read her erotic friend fiction unless Tina does what she says. In the episode Broadcast Wagstaff School News, Tammy frames Tina as being the Mad Pooper.

Tina only hangs out with Tammy and her friends because they're her "only shot at a peer group". There are moments where Tammy realises how horrible she is, like in Some Like It Bot Part 1: Eighth Grade Runner, but her kindness never lasts for long.

Jimmy Pesto Jr

Jimmy Jr is Tina's main love interest, though he often doesn't feel the same way about her. In the episode Two for Tina Jimmy Jr is only interested in Tina after finding out she has another date. Tina finally loses it in V for Valentine-detta, and plans to take revenge on him, but decides not to.

Jocelyn

Tina doesn't like Jocelyn, and Jocelyn doesn't really like her as well. In Spaghetti Western & Meatballs Tina threatens to beat her up after a hypothetical scene in a school club where Jocelyn talks about Tina to Jimmy Jr behind her back. Tina does figth Jocelyn in the same episode though, as she sees Jocelyn talking to Jimmy Jr.

Whilst Jocelyn usually follows Tammy's commands without question, there have been times when she's realised how badly Tammy treats Tina. In Comet-y of Errors, Jocelyn gets Tammy to apologise to her.
